Our history

Respected chartered accountants firm

Michael Chadwick established Chadwicks in 1983 and was assisted by four part-time employees. During the ensuing 40 years, the firm has grown into a well-respected, local professional practice with 40 employees, 15 of which are fully qualified accountants or tax advisers.

In 2012 Tracey Connor FCA and Cathryn McDowell FCCA were promoted to Directors. At the time of this promotion, they had combined careers with the firm spanning over 40 years. Then in 2015 Michael Royle and Nigel Birtwistle joined from our sister company Grundy Anderson and Kershaw, where they have both been Directors for many years.

We are proud to announce that we have recently merged Grundy Anderson and Kershaw with Chadwicks, making us one of the largest independent accountancy firms in Greater Manchester.
